Day 10 - Manifest Whiskey Project 10-year High Rye small batch #3

Manifest Distilling was founded in 2016. Based in Jacksonville Florida, they emphasize organic and sustainable agriculture.
Today we are tasting Bottle 137, batch #3 of their year rye. It comes in at 106.2 proof.
The mash bill consists of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley.
This one has a super bright nose. There are notes of cane sugar, caramel and maple syrup.
Considering its proof, the pallet starts sweet and velvety smooth. Beautiful notes of oak, cherries and spice from the rye. The finish has a pleasant linger leaving notes of vanilla, more oak and pepper.
Considering its proof I'm amazed at how smooth and sweet this rye is from beginning to end. It could benefit from some ice. But I think that this is a great sip as is.
This is an amazing bottle. I/we hope you appreciate it as well.

I must say, this year's whisky trip has been full of surprises. Out of all of the ryes so far, this is the one really blew my hair back. From start to fishing, with & without a cube - every sip was enjoyable. No excessive heat, not an overabundance of tannins, not too sweet.
Initial sips without a cube produced notes of spice an pepper which opened up to a sweet/spicing pie taste. The addition of the cube really blended everything together to the point it tastes like a mix drink all on it's own (technically booze + ice is a mix).
Things in 2026 I did not expect myself to say, "I'm looking for a bottle of Rye made…
Oooooh last year it was Smoke Wagon that became my new fave - this year this (so far) is my new jam. High rye bourbon - yes please!
I love this. Another 100+ proof Rye with delightful integrated flavors and smooth finish. You've give us a great Rye lineup this year.
According to my AI: It tastes like a cherry-drizzled spice cake enjoyed in an old wood-paneled library.
That’s really not far from reality. Delicious sipper.
