First, I would like to take a moment to say thank you to everybody who participated in the offerings of Edition two. My/our hope is that you enjoyed the choices. The worst case is you participated and tried things that you would not have otherwise experienced or might have been flavors out of your comfort zone. Good or bad, we hope you enjoyed it.

I hope I am ending our adventure on a high note.

This company began in 2015. They are operating out of Louisville KY utilize the alkaline limestone water to help create their product. In 2020 this company produced and released its first single barrel whiskey. Their product is amazing considering how young they are. This has made it to the very top end the end of our advent calendar. I hope you appreciate the complexity of this bottle as much as I have.

What you are tasting is a bottle of bourbon finished in a series of toasted barrels. It is a small batch.

At 117.6 Proof, the alcohol content is high, however it does not taste even close to that rating.

The color is dark mahogany. At first the nose explodes with vanilla, banana and ethanol. But if you let it rest the nose softens giving you cherrywood, marshmallow and hot cocoa.

The first sip is full of warm vanilla, charred wood and cinnamon. As I sip there is more of those wood tannins. After I placed a few drops of water, Nulu opened up to toffee and caramel.

The finish is long and spicy with waves of maple and cinnamon. This super full bodied.

Although this bottle is strong, it is also extremely complex. Given the youthfulness of this company I'm very excited to see what the future holds for them and their products. I will be keeping an eye on them, watching and tasting.

Well, that’s it!

We truly hope you all had a great time with this experience. It was a lot of fun putting it together! What made it even more special was your participation, and we can't thank you enough for all your thoughtful comments.

As we wrap things up, we want to wish each and every one of you a wonderful holiday season. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, joyful Kwanzaa, and here's to an amazing and successful 2025!

This is fantastic! Probably the best finish of all of them. Definitely get the cocoa. I also get some menthol / eucalyptus on the finish. Dessert in a glass!

What a perfect way to end 13 nights of whiskey! This one presented with a very strong oak nose and colorful brown pour. Then I noted the 117 proof - liquid warmth. This one benefited from a small cube and the flavor profile opened up to notes of brown sugar and a bit of cinnamon. It's finish was unique, almost woody (that oak would not give up).

Thank you for including us in this year's calendar! As the days are dark way too soon this time of the year, knowing there would be a liquid surprise waiting each night made the days leading up to Christmas tolerable. May you both have a wondering holiday season and a happy new year!

What a great way to end! This is lovely. It does not taste like a high-proof booze. It's sweet and fragrant - almost floral. This one could absolutely get me in trouble because it is too easy to drink. This was such a fun adventure! Thank you for including us in this tradition. It was a a great experience. Thanks P & M! Love you!

What I loved about this one, even before I poured it, was part of its name: "California Exclusive." As an East Coast transplant to San Francisco, I would never be one, as my native San Franciscan wife loves to remind me, every chance she gets. "It's not katty-corner, it's kitty-corner. You would know that if you were FROM. HERE." So, there's just something I love about an "eastern" tradition, like a whiskey named after a Kentucky county, mixed with an experience only found in California. Now, back to this California Exclusive: SO. GOOD. Of course. This is one of those that I'll share when I really wanna impress the room. And I'll tell the exact same story, too. The higher…
