This is a Canadian whiskey blended and bottled in Vermont.
Whistle pig has a history producing some of the best whiskeys and rye. This one does not miss the mark.
The color is a medium amber. At 100 proof the nose is pepper, vanilla, pear and prune. The palette is very sweet, lots of brown sugar cherry, and a hint of dill?!
The finish this short with the medium warmth it's very spicy with continuing notes of dill with cherry and cinnamon. I ask you all for feedback. Afterall, it is Whistle Pig…..
I am a huge fan of small batch. The trouble is it never stays in the bottle very long.

This is a rye I can dig. Not too overpowering nor too sweet. Its almost an everyday rye bourbon if there is such a thing.
